Find the perfect baby knitting pattern for your special little one
Knitting is an addicting hobby once you get the hang of it and knitting for babies is especially fun. There are so many little baby knitting projects that you can try. Here are some you may not have thought of.
1. Cashmere Teddy Bear.
This will be a gift that your baby will cherish in the years to come – his or her own personal hand-made teddy bear. Use a soft yarn so that baby will enjoy cuddling with the little bear. Although this is not the best project for beginning knitters, it doesn’t have to be that difficult when you use a pattern with clear instructions.
2. Baby Sleeping Cushion.
You can hang this cushion on the door to the baby’s room so that other family members know to be quiet and leave baby alone. It is an easy project to do and makes an excellent gift for people who are expecting their first child. You can even personalize the cushion by embroidering baby’s name or initials on it.
3. Simple Lavender Bag.
Lavender is an herb that relaxes and encourages sleep. Not only that, but it can help to keep the nursery smelling fresh. Making a knitted bag for the lavender is a very easy project to do. Once the knitting is finished, you can use a piece of silk ribbon to tie the bag together and even add a small silver charm for a unique and exquisite baby gift. The bag can be placed under baby’s pillow or hung from a door knob in the nursery.
4. Baby Blocks.
Another fun baby knitting project you can try is to make some soft baby blocks. Again, this will involve a little more than just knitting since you will have to stuff the blocks and sew them together. Baby will have fun with these blocks for years and since they’re soft, baby will not hurt herself when she plays with them.
Once you try some of these baby knitting projects for yourself, you’ll be hooked. As your knitting skills evolve, you will find even more fun projects that you can try in the future.
